Bach im Dunkeln is a “performed“ exhibit, a “concert exhibit“. The cellist Augustin Maurs plays the Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello by Johann Sebastian Bach every evening, over one week long – in the dark. The audience surrounds him scattered along the walls. They are permitted to exit the dark room before and after each Suite, at intervals of approximately every twenty minutes.
The event will take place each evening from 5th till 14th October, starting everyday at 5 pm. Admission is free. Please RSVP to bachimdunkeln@gmail.com reserve the place. The concerts are kindly hosted by .HBC the restaurant and the bar will be open every evening with exeption of Sunday and Monday, if you like to book a table please make a note at your concert reservation. We would also like to invite you for the talk with the artist moderate by Benedikt von Bernstorff on October 14th, 9pm.
