the divisions remain. Familiar with the former communist Europe, I can easily feel when I put my feet in the Eastern part of the city. It is not always a matter of the architecture - very important though - but it is about a certain spirit of the place: grey streets, poor and nervous people. In the same time, the East is rising as a new hotspot of creativity and ideas. Many empty places are given for use to artists from all over the world, life is becoming more expensive here - in places as Prenzlauer Berg, for example. Even the salaries are higher in some Eastern part than in the West. A process to be followed.
